Description¶
A scenic coastal walk along the Fife Coast Path, connecting the charming seaside village of Aberdour to the historic town of Kirkcaldy via Burntisland. The route combines sandy beaches with dramatic rock formations, offering stunning views across the Firth of Forth.
The first section from Aberdour is relatively gentle, following the shore past Silver Sands beach. The second half becomes more challenging with rock scrambling near the tide line but rewards with spectacular coastal views. The walk finishes near Kirkcaldy’s waterfront with cafés and facilities nearby.

Tide Considerations: Check tide times before starting—some sections can be inaccessible at high tide.
Facilities: Cafés and shops in Aberdour and Kirkcaldy. Limited facilities between.
Public Toilets: Available at Burntisland beach, Aberdour, and Kirkcaldy waterfront.
Safety: Wear sturdy footwear; rocks can be slippery when wet.
